The coming week brings a wave of significant token unlocks across several major cryptocurrency projects. From the layer 1 contender Aptos (APT) to the popular NFT-linked ApeCoin (APE), here are five key unlocks to keep an eye on as they could potentially impact the market including Cyber and ARB. Analyze the potential of an upcoming cryptocurrency vesting. Explore the number of tokens unlocked, and discover the size of the nearest unlocking. The VR Soldier editors have selected 5 important token unlocks to watch next week.

Here’s a Breakdown of the Top 5 Token Unlocks:

  1. Aptos (APT)

Unlock date: March 12

Number of tokens unlocked: 24,840,000 APT

Current circulating offer: 369 042 328 APT

Aptos (APT)

While Aptos’ layer 1 blockchain can definitely be called one of the most successful projects of 2023, it is regularly criticized by the crypto community for its tokenomics, which is largely dominated by venture capital. Much of the APT supply is still blocked. Unlocks will occur every month for the next ten years. The tokens released on March 12 will be distributed among the Aptos Foundation, community members and investors.

  1. CyberConnect (CYBER)

Unlock date: March 15

Number of tokens unlocked: 886,120 CYBER

Current circulating supply: 14,821,350 CYBER

CyberConnect (CYBER)

CyberConnect is a decentralized social graph protocol built on the BNB Smart Chain blockchain. It helps create and manage social connections between users and projects across platforms. The native token CYBER allows holders to buy CyberID, vote on issues related to improving the protocol, and pay transaction fees. The tokens unlocked next week are reserved for the project’s treasury and ecosystem development.

  1. Flow (FLOW)

Unlock date: March 16

Number of tokens unlocked: 2,600,000 FLOW

Current circulating supply: 1,493,452,839 FLOW

FLOW TOKEN UNLOCKS

Flow is a blockchain platform designed to issue non-fungible tokens ( NFTs ) and create gaming applications. The site was developed by Dapper Labs, the author of the popular game CryptoKitties. The Flow ecosystem is supported by leading sports organizations including the NBA, UFC and NFL. The project’s native token is used to pay commissions, execute smart contracts, operate the consensus algorithm, and also as collateral for issued assets. The coins released on March 16 are for Dapper Labs.

  1. Arbitrum (ARB)

Unlock date: March 16

Number of tokens unlocked: 1,110,000,000 ARB

Current circulating supply: 1,451,000,000 ARB

Arbitrum (ARB)

Arbitrum is one of the most popular second-layer (L2) solutions for Ethereum. Arbitrum is being developed by Offchain Labs. The main network of the project was launched in August 2021. Lightspeed Venture Partners, Polychain Capital, Ribbit Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Pantera Capital, Alameda Research, entrepreneur Mark Cuban and the popular crypto exchange Coinbase took part in financing the development.

Next week, the project will unlock more than 1 billion ARB tokens – at the current price, their value is about $2.28 billion. The coins unfrozen during this event will be distributed among the team, advisors and investors of the project.

  1. ApeCoin (APE)

Unlock date: March 17

Number of tokens unlocked: 15,600,000 APE

Current circulating supply: 612,239,583 APE

ApeCoin (APE)

ApeCoin is the native token of Yuga Labs’ Ape ecosystem, which includes one of the most popular NFT collections, Bored Ape Yacht Club. Typically, APE reacts to unlocks by falling – however, given the renewed interest of users in non-fungible tokens in general and BAYC in particular, the next drawdown may not be so large.
