DeFi innovator Andre Cronje applauded the blockchain game Estfor Kingdom. Estfor Kingdom is a wholly on-chain game crafted by PaintSwap that utilizes Cronje’s Fantom chain and features an in-game economy.
Cronje confirmed his “deep respect” for Estfor Kingdom in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Cronje: Fantom Gained a Gaming Partner
In contrast to initial-generation blockchain games like Axie Infinity, which maintained most of the gameplay off-chain, Estfor Kingdom is hosted entirely on the blockchain with an in-game deflationary economy that necessitates a crypto wallet. Players can earn BRUSH tokens by participating in battles for territory. One member of the community verified that they were enjoying the game, while another requested footage of in-game play.
The blockchain ecosystem established by Cronje, Fantom, collaborates with the game. Cronje helped establish Fantom to hasten transaction speeds, rivalling Ethereum competitors Solana and Avalanche. Presently, Fantom’s transaction speeds are below 900 ms.
Web3 Game Experts Favor Player Focus
In January this year, the co-founder of the Solana game MixMob stated that true innovation lies in amalgamating human resources and technology. Developing a Web3 game requires significant time, he said, but 2024 games will benefit from the errors of first-generation endeavors. In a recent interview, Co founder of Horizon Blockchain Games, Michael Sanders, mentioned that the future of Web3 games may retain much of the gameplay off-chain but uphold the in-game tokenomics on blockchains.
But Sanders added that, for Web3 games to be truly successful, they must not disrupt the immersive experience. Additionally, he emphasized that gamers should not perceive exploitation. Jérôme de Tychey, president of Ethereum France, underscored the vital connection between gamers and developers.
“Blockchain can impose limitations on gameplay when heavily used, but it also opens new territory for game designs. As a testament to this philosophy, we refuse to build our games on play-to-earn models. Instead, we believe in blockchain for its capacity to strengthen the bond between players and their favorite games,” de Tychey said.
The emergence of an in-game economy in Estfor Kingdom may resolve that. Along with Fantom’s rapid and fast transactions, it could mark the initial step towards a fully on-chain gaming experience.
