A decentralized exchange, as the name suggests, is a platform that enables users to trade, swap, or conduct any type of transaction without the need for a middleman. Decentralized exchanges are part of the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystem. While the Crypto market is clamoring for self-custody, here are some DEX tokens to consider having in your portfolio or even using their platforms. Decentralized Exchange (DEX) Tokens have a total market capitalization of $11,204,028,711 and a total trading volume of $1,242,178,391.

Note: This List is sorted by their market capitalization from lowest to highest

AirSwap (AST)

  • Price Unit: $0.1071
  • Market Cap: $18,730,552
  • Distinct Features: Peer-to-peer network AirSwap combines on-chain settlement by an atomic swap with off-chain negotiation.

According to its website, AirSwap is an Ethereum-powered decentralized peer-to-peer token trading network. The goal of AirSwap is to make token exchanges easy, free, and safe. Its purpose is to enable people to trade freely and globally. The Swap protocol is implemented by AirSwap, which currently offers the Instant, Spaces, and DexIndex products.

AirSwap is a DAO with a focus on decentralized trading platforms. Everything they create is aligned with their objective and is typically evaluated by how well it affects the network’s stability and trade volume.

Several advantages of AirSwap include the following:

  • Non-custodial; In contrast to a centralized exchange, AirSwap does not keep any money in its possession.
  • No registration restrictions; Users do not need to register, and no private information is gathered.
  • No slippage; Prices on AirSwap are precise, so what you see is what you pay.

Exchange: AST is currently trading live on Binance, OKX, XT.COM, Huobi, and Gate.io.

VITE (VITE)

  • Price Unit: $0.02452
  • Market Cap: $22,927,506
  • Distinct Features: Vite uses asynchronous sending and receiving of transactions to produce cheap smart contracts with confirmations in seconds.

Vite is a lightning-quick, zero-fee blockchain designed for the decentralized economy. Without giving up the free and quick benefits of Web2, you can construct Web3 here. Vite’s DAG-based smart contract blockchain offers fee-free, super-fast transactions while still being EVM-compatible.

Vite’s current tools include:

  • ViteBridge: ViteBridge is a universal and decentralized cross-chain transfer protocol to connect all blockchains.
  • ViteX Exchange: ViteX is a decentralized exchange with its own native token, VX.
  • Vite App: a multi-purpose wallet application.

Vite uses a fee-free transaction model. By removing DAG’s flaws, Vite uses a novel snapshot chain to increase the security of all transactions.

Exchange: VITE is currently trading live on Binance, Bitrue, XT.COM, BTSE, and CoinEx.

Ellipsis (EPS)

  • Price Unit: $0.03312
  • Market Cap: $23,923,535
  • Distinct Features:  The main goals of the EPX token are to reward Ellipsis.finance’s liquidity providers and give consumers access to the incentive distribution.

Ellipsis is a decentralized exchange and an authorized fork of Curve Finance on the BNB chain that primarily addresses three issues: it provides efficient, reasonably priced swaps, yields to token holders in a secure, well-tested setting, and a way for protocols to develop substantial liquidity for their tokens.

Ellipsis is an Automated Market Maker (AMM) or exchange that enables users and other decentralized protocols to trade tokens (such as BUSD to USDC) with little slippage and little cost.

Ellipsis makes use of liquidity pools as opposed to exchanges that pair buyers and sellers. Ellipsis requires a large number of liquidity (tokens) in the pools to achieve successful exchange volume and less slippage.

Ellipsis compensates liquidity providers with EPX tokens to encourage them to deposit liquidity into its pools.

Exchange: EPS is currently trading live on Bitrue, Gate.io, KuCoin, Bitcoiva, and PancakeSwap (V2).
