There are many ways to bring creative experiences to virtual reality. Ranging from educational purposes to healthcare and staff training, the opportunities are virtually limitless. Snoop Dogg, on the other hand, is planning to offer a live-action VR experience where viewers can smoke weed in the bathroom with Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg Enters the VR Ecosystem
It is evident there is a growing need for somewhat different VR experiences. Snoop Dogg is trying to do his part in the form of Door No.1. It is a choose-your-own-adventure VR experience which can be found on the Hulu platform. This live-action VR experience has viewers attend a high school reunion. As is usually the case, things are not necessarily that they seem.
What sounds like a boring concept at first, the reality is a bit different. This class reunion lasts up to twenty minutes, depending on player’s choices. You can mingle with the crowd, and meet some familiar faces along the way. The cast includes Steve Little, Sarah Baker, and so on. For those who get tired of the reunion itself, taking a trip to the bathroom is certainly worth looking into.
When choosing this latter option, users will meet a very familiar face. Opening the door to the bathroom is rather exciting in this regard, as there is an option to consume marihuana at this location. Moreover, they will be greeted by Snoop Dogg in this regard. While this is only a special cameo, it will certainly attract a lot of interest from VR enthusiasts.
Whether or not this is the beginning of more VR experiences of this kind, remains to be seen. It is a powerful venture which brings positive attention to both VR and the Hulu platform. More specifically, Hulu is showing a keen interest in virtual reality content, which is very different from how Netflix is holding off the boat in this regard. An interesting situation to keep an eye on, that much is evident.
