Making virtual reality more accessible is an ongoing struggle all over the world. Legoland Discovery Center has come up with a rather interesting approach. Their new VR experience is tailored toward children and adults alike. The Great Race VR Experience will certainly be of great interest to a lot of people.
An Important Step Forward for Virtual Reality
No one will deny VR adoption is subject to a massive age gap. A lot of people don’t consider VR to be a mature technology and only something children will enjoy. The reality is very different of course, but bringing the age gap still remains a big issue.
Legoland Discovery Center in Boston is working on solving this problem. The theme park has decided to introduce a VR experience for both young and old. Known as The Great Race VR Experience, it transforms one of the park’s rides altogether.
This is not the first Legoland resort to embrace VR. Earlier this year, Legoland Florida resort introduced a VR experience known as the Great Lego Race VR Coaster. It makes the rollercoaster itself a lot more immersive and transforms the experience as a whole.
As one would come to expect, there will be a lot of initial interest regarding this new VR venture. Children and adults can experience this virtual reality ride together, which is an interesting concept. Adults must be accompanied by a child and vice versa. A remarkable development that may bring VR to the mainstream pretty soon.
