Location-based VR is hitting its stride all over the world. Macau is no exception in this regard, as the region is now home to a major VR gaming area. The 2,150-square-foot venue provides players with wireless technology and motion tracking. It is Macau’s second major VR venture after the launch of a local live-action VR theme park at Sands Cotai Central.

Macau Embraces VR in a big way

Virtual reality is primarily designed to be a social experience. So far, most of the experiences are not social by any means, as they tend to favor the individual, rather than groups of people. In Macau, the situation is changing for the better thanks to a new major VR gaming venture. Known as Zero Latency Macau, it is a game space which can accommodate up to eight players at any given time.

It is not the first time Zero Latency launching such a venture either. The firm operates 18 other VR gaming locations throughout the world, which is very impressive, all things considered. However, it is the first time company explores the Chinese market, further confirming location-based VR is growing in popularity all over the world as of right now. It is expected this industry will continue to grow and become a multi-billion dollar industry by 2020.

One thing that makes any venture by Zero Latency so interesting is how the firm specializes in wireless VR content.  Users can play games and browse experiences in a completely wireless fashion. Combined with powerful motion tracking, the company is capable of delivering a far more immersive VR experience than other companies can bring to the table as of right now.

Games offered at the Macau location are quite diverse in nature. Ranging from shooters to puzzle games, there is a little something for everyone to enjoy. Although there are only three supported games right now, more offerings will be added as time progresses. More importantly, there is one family-friendly game, which makes the location appealing to families with children as well.
