Many people often claim the internet is for porn. That can be said about many different technologies as well. In the case of virtual reality, one adult male in Florida was caught watching adult content. That is not abnormal, but doing so in the children’s section of a library is not necessarily the best idea.
Watching Porn in VR in Public Places
It is evident watching VR porn on any device is best done in the comfort of one’s home, Doing so in a library is already questionable for many different reasons. Taking this type of content to the children’s section shows some people have either no idea of their surroundings, or simply couldn’t care less.
When engaging in this type of activity, it would be best to either mute the sound or use headphones. One Florida man found that out the hard way, as he failed to properly plug in headphones while doing so. It is a very bothersome experience or children at the library who have to witness these weird sounds.
To this day, it is unclear why the man was consuming this content in the children’s section of a library. There are many other places in a library to do so. He was wearing a VR headset while enjoying his porn, although that didn’t make him look less conspicuous whatsoever. This shows mobile VR still has a place, although some consumers seemingly struggle to use the technology in a proper manner.
Incidents like these are, thankfully, rather exceptional. It is good to see people consume VR content in public places. Even though the actual content itself is highly questionable first and foremost, this sight may very well become more commonplace. The man in question has not been charged, but it seems unlikely he will set foot in this library anytime soon.
