In December 2023, Donald Trump presented a new NFT collection called “Mugshot Edition” on the Polygon network. They can be purchased using a credit card or WETH, an Ethereum-based ERC-20 token.

The Trump trading card team has revealed it is launching another collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). However, now it will appear on the Bitcoin (BTC) network in the form of the “inscriptions” that were sensational last year.

One “Inscription” will Cost almost $10K

It is reported that a total of 200 unique NFTs will be minted. They will only be available to those who purchase 100 or more issues from Trump’s previous collection, the Mugshot Edition. That is, in total, for the Ordinals “inscription” alone, the user will have to pay $9,900 since tokens with mugshots of the US presidential candidate are sold for $99.

Exclusive Rewards from Trump’s CollectTrumpCards Mugshot Edition

Purchasing 47 NFTs from the CollectTrumpCards Mugshot Edition series will reward you with a ticket to an event with Donald at Mar-a-Lago, a piece of fabric from Trump’s suit, an NFT from the collection dedicated to dinner with Donald, and other bonuses. Each CollectTrumpCards Mugshot Edition token costs $99. Accordinglу, to receive an ordinal created on the Bitcoin network, you will have to spend $9,900 on an NFT. Luckу owners of digital collections will be able to get them on the Magic Eden ordinal market. The exact date of the coin issue has not yet been announced.

Trump and Cryptocurrencies

Donald Trump got into NFTs back in December 2022 when he released the first Trump Digital Trading Card collection. The second appeared in April last year but enjoyed a different success than the first. At the same time, the politician still earned up to $1 million from the launch of two collections.

In August, on the eve of Trump’s indictment, sales of NFTs from the politician’s collection surged 160% in a week. The number of sales at the same time jumped by 155%.

Earlier, it was also revealed that the former US president kept about $500 thousand in cryptocurrency. However, he was never a big fan of digital assets.
