It is time to take your VR experience to the next level with this haptic body suit. Using 16 feedback zones the suit covers every single muscle above your torso. Connect the suit via a USB compositor to your computer, fire up the Vive or the Rift, download a compatible game and you are ready to feel punches, gunshots, explosions, and anything else the games have to offer.

The VR suit is developed by Nullspace VR and is in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign with a crowdfund goal of $80,000. Currently the project already has $147,000 pledged from 349 backers. If you want your own Hardlight Suit, you would need to at least $499, which would qualify you an Early Bird ship date with an estimated delivery in September of 2017.

The product itself isn’t revolutionary as there are other haptic suits on the market. However, the suit aims to differentiate itself by being sweat proof, having more contact zones, and being easier to work with for developers. Not even out yet, but the suit already supports over 10 games. That might not seem like a whole lot, but it is surprising how quickly games can implement functions for the suit.

The Hardlight Suit creates a much more immersive experience rather than only using a VR headset and controllers. People claimed that it felt like the ground was rumbling even though nothing was moving. Another cool feature of the vest is its audio mode, where haptic feedback is generated by audio. After taking the suit off, users also claimed that it felt like a sense has been cut off and the VR experience wasn’t as realistic.

It is unclear what price the vest will be sold at, since it hasn’t started shipping yet. However, according to Kickstarter Pledge rewards we can estimate that the suit will cost anywhere between $299-$499.

It seems the world of VR is moving fast and soon users will be equipped with all sorts of devices and gadgets to make VR more realistic. We predict that in a few years you would be able to buy a Motion Platform, Eye Tracking HD headset, Controllers, a Full Body suit all for under $1000. As technology advances these items will only get cheaper and cheaper, which will create mass adoption.
