DEP primarily uses the utility token DEAPcoin (ERC-20) to buy NFTs (ERC-721) on the NFT Marketplace to improve platform playability.

The platform intends to solve an issue with copyrights and intellectual property for selling individual works of art on the secondary market. They are a blockchain-based next-generation entertainment company that will use entertainment and assets to build a new economy and culture in the digital era.

Players can purchase, sell, and trade their virtual assets in this game, much like they would in a traditional trading card game. Splinterlands’ use of blockchain technology gives players the freedom to own and exchange their digital possessions once more.

All the cards in Splinterlands have a verifiable supply and historical record, enabling the game to have real transparency and scarcity.
