Playing football in virtual reality is something a lot of people look forward to. With VR Football Club, this certainly becomes a lot easier to achieve, although the game still has room for improvements. It now seems the developers are adding some major features through a new game update.
A big Step Forward for VR Football Club
It has become evident the VR gaming community has taken a shine to VR Football Club. While not necessarily the most realistic football game in virtual reality, the offering has a certain appeal. Even so, the developers acknowledge a lot of things can still be improved. With the new VRFC game update live, there are some interesting changes to take note of.
First of all, Cherry Pop Games has introduced support for AI bots. This means players can play a game of football at any given moment, even when their friends are not online. Squeezing in that little bit of extra practice can make all of the difference when it comes to playing VR Football Club. It is a more than welcome addition.
Secondly, the game improved its room-scale support. This is quite important for people tethered to a computer or laptop for VR gaming. With this new update, taking advantage of the space around you becomes a very real possibility. Considering playing football is all about moving about, this change certainly makes a lot of sense.
Perhaps the biggest change of them all comes in the form of head facing controls. It is a solution players of VRFC will either hate or love, but in our opinion, it brings an entirely new dimension to the table. For an Early Access game, this offering certainly continues to grow in quick succession. Especially with the current price discount on the PS Store, there’s no reason not to pick the game up.
