The concept of a virtual reality arcade has proven to be rather interesting so far. More specifically, the general public seems to have taken a liking to this concept in recent months. As such, we now see a few more of these arcades pop up in different corners of the world. Bandai Namco, the renowned video game developer and publisher, is opening two of these locations in London in the near future.

More VR Arcades in London

Very few people will mind seeing two additional VR arcades in London later this year. It is an interesting concept which holds a lot of merit and introduces consumers to VR technology at an affordable price. Moreover, it doesn’t require users to buy the expensive hardware themselves, especially if they are not too sure whether or not they want to keep using a VR headset on a regular basis.

As such, we see a fair few VR arcades pop up in different parts of the world. Especially in the US, things are definitely heading in the right direction as we speak. London, in the UK, is also a popular place for such ventures, by the look of things. With Bandai Namco getting in on the action, there will be a few more VR arcades to enjoy in England’s capital city. It is the first European venture by Bandai Namco in the VR arcade business.

More specifically, Bandai Namco has opened a VR arcade in Tokyo last year. with these two ventures in the UK, it has now become evident the company sees merit in the European market as well. Both VR Zone portals locations are open for business as we speak. First of all, there’s the VR Zone at Tunbridge Wells, whereas the other is located at the O2 Arena. Additional locations will be added to the United Kingdom in the near future.

For now, there will be three virtual reality experiences for customers to enjoy. This includes a survival horror game, an anime flight simulator, and the Fear of Heights venture. Although this rather limited in terms of entertainment, more titles will be added in the future. For now, there are no IP VR experiences offered in London, although the Tokyo VR arcade has Mario Kart and Dragonball VR games. These may come to the UK in the future as well, although that has not been officially confirmed at this point.
