Most people will agree virtual reality isn’t the most social experience yet. That is only normal, as social VR is still in the very early stages of the development. Sansar’s Social VR venture is now live on the HTC Viveport offering. It also offers a lot more content related to Ready Player One.

Sansar Keeps Making Headlines

It is not the first time people start taking notice of what Sansar is trying to achieve. More specifically, this social VR platform is trying to make a positive impact. It is the first time this type of content is accessible to HTC Vive owners. Anyone can download the app as a free download on Viveport, which marks a major milestone for the company.

In the app, users will immediately recognize a Ready Player One environment it is evident the team at Sansar wants to cater to these current trends and popular types of content. Ready Player One also put VR on a lot of people’s minds, mostly due to the amazing book. Now that the movie is out, it is only normal people want to explore some of the iconic locations for themselves.

The launch on Viveport is also a positive development for Sansar. The Viveport platform recognizes the value of transformative virtual experiences, according to Linden Lab CEO Ebbe Altberg, It is evident this partnership is a major milestone for the VR company, as it will bring them a lot of positive attention in the process.

This release means Sansar is now accessible on both of the major PC-oriented VR platforms. Oculus Rift users could access this platform for a while now, and HTC Vive owners now have the same change. Whether or not there is any cross-platform interaction, remains a bit unclear at this point. That would certainly be an option worth exploring for the company. After all, it is all about making VR more social.
