It is only a matter of time until we see more dedicated software for the VR ecosystem. In the case of Magix, the company has introduced a tool known as Photostory Premium VR. This particular lets users achieve real surround sound by adding audio files. It is also a good tool to create interactive VR presentations.

Photostory Premium VR is a Step in the Right Direction

It has been a long time coming, but VR is finally becoming mainstream in terms of productivity. To make this transition, there need to be plenty of software tools to make it happen. Magix is on the right track in this regard, with their Photostory premium VR suite. With a strong focus on interactive VR presentations, the project certainly offers a lot of potential.

To put this into perspective, users will be able to complete different tasks. It is possible to create 360-degree photos and videos, create professional tours, and simply achieve real surround sound. The basic functionality includes adding photos and videos, or even text. All of this content can be added and edited accordingly without any special bits of knowledge, which makes the software a lot more approachable.

Photostory Premium VR product owner Stefan Renz comments:

“Virtual reality is currently one of the most exciting technological developments of our age. We have over 20 years of experience in developing photo and video editing software and are using this knowledge to help shape VR innovation. We truly believe that Photostory Premium VR will greatly expand the circle of users who can take part in this exciting new technology.”

It is worth noting Photostory Premium VR doesn’t require additional hardware. Instead, it should work with all major VR headsets, although the software comes bundled with a smartphone VR kit, by the look of things. That makes for a rather interesting ecosystem, as mobile devices and video/photo editing usually don’t mix too well. Whether or not this app can make a positive impact in this regard, remains to be seen.
