Metaverse coins continue to dominate the markets, with projects like Decentraland and The Sandbox seeing insane price gains in recent weeks. As one of the most popular platforms for new cryptocurrency users, Crypto.com makes it easy to buy your first cryptocurrency. 10. Chromia (CHR)

Chromia describes itself as a blockchain platform, making it easy for people to build decentralized applications in the real world.

It features unique architecture, plays well with Ethereum, and enables developers to code applications seven to ten times faster.

Chromia is currently trading at $1.03, with a market cap of $584 million.

9. My Neighbor Alice (ALICE)

My Neighbor Alice is a blockchain-based multiplayer builder game, allowing players to buy plots of land, and customize their virtual islands.

ALICE tokens are the native cryptocurrency to the platform that acts as the in-game currency. My Neighbor Alice runs on Chromia, and they recently announced an $80 million fund aimed at accelerating ALICE’s Metaverse.

At the time of writing, ALICE is trading at $20.54, with a market cap of $628 million.

8. SushiSwap (SUSHI)

SushiSwap is an AMM – Automatic Market Maker. Essentially, it’s a decentralized exchange that uses smart contracts to create a market for any pair of digital assets. In a way, Sushiswap is a competitor to PancakeSwap and Uniswap, however, providing slightly different DeFi functions.

With a total volume traded of over $146 billion, and over 2,296 trading pairs featured on the platform, SusthiSwap makes a great bet for 2022 as AMMs will be vital to the Metaverse ecosystem.

At the time of writing, SushiSwap is trading at $7, with a market cap of $915 million.

7. Illuvium (ILV)

Illuvium is an open-world RPG adventure game featuring deity-like creatures called Illuvials. It’s a blockchain-based game, with ILV as the native cryptocurrency.

Players can collect and discover Illuvials, gather a team, and battle other players to earn rewards and prizes.

At the time of writing, Illuvium is trading at $1,490, with a market cap of $958 million.

6. Worldwide Asset Exchange (WAX)

The Worldwide Asset Exchange is the world’s most eco-friendly blockchain for NFTs and video games. IT features over 400k daily visitors, over 15 million daily transactions, over 8 million WAX accounts, and over 30k dApps.

WAX features a host of NFT games on their platform, allowing users to earn rewards just for playing. WAX continues to release exciting NFT collections, like their upcoming BC Brawlers collection scheduled to be released on November 30th.

At the time of writing, WAX is trading at $0.71, with a market cap of $1.3 billion.

5. Enjin Coin (ENJ)

Launched in 2009, Enjin Coin is one of the longest-running cryptocurrency projects on the market. In recent news, Enjin announced Efinity, their brand new Metaverse blockchain.

Enjin Coin established itself as a leader in the NFT space with one of the most active marketplaces in crypto. As such, Enjin makes for a great bet when it comes to Metaverse projects as their Efinity blockchain continues to make headlines.

At the time of writing, ENJ is trading at $3.88, with a market cap of $3.2 billion.

4. The Sandbox (SAND)

The Sandbox is the most anticipated Metaverse project on the market and one of the main competitors to Decentraland. The Sandbox has a highly active NFT marketplace where dozens of sales happen every hour.

With their alpha release scheduled for November 29th, The Sandbox makes for an excellent pick for 2022. It’s one of the leading Metaverse projects on the market and has exceptionally high community support.

At the time of writing, The Sandbox is trading at $6.83, with a market cap of $6 billion.

3. THETA (THETA)

THETA is a next-generation video and entertainment blockchain-powered platform. It includes an NFT marketplace and a fully open-source code that’s available on Github.

THETA includes impressive partners for its enterprise validator nodes, including Google, Sony, Samsung, Binance, Blockchain, and more.

THETA is currently trading at $6.63, with a market cap of $6.6 billion.

2. Axie Infinity (AXS)

Axie Infinity is the second-highest Metaverse project by market cap, featuring an NFT based battle arena game. It has one of the most active communities on the market, and its app is top-rated.

Axie Infinity continues innovating and building additional functionalities into its ecosystem, making AXS an excellent pick for 2022.

At the time of writing, AXS is trading at $128, with a market cap of $7.8 billion.

1. Decentraland (MANA)

As the Metaverse project with the highest market cap at the time of writing, Decentraland is one of the best bets for 2022. Recently, Decentraland made news when a plot of land sold for over $2.4 million, more than double the previous record.

Decentraland is one of the safest bets on this list; their Metaverse was launched in February 2020 and withstood the test of time.

MANA is currently trading at $4.75%, with a market cap of $8.6 billion.
