Bringing more video games to the VR industry can only be considered to be a positive development. Especially when that game has the potential of becoming one of the few AAA titles in the industry. From Software, the creators of Bloodborne and Dark Souls, are working on Déraciné. This Sony-exclusive VR game will certainly attract a lot of attention.
More Exclusive PS VR Games
While it is always a bit unfortunate to see games being developed exclusively for the PlayStation VR, it is also the most prominent VR platform in existence today. So far, the platform has attracted a lot of developers from all over the world, even though there is still plenty of room for far better games altogether. More specifically, a lot of games currently available on the PS VR leave much to be desired.
From Software may shake things up in a significant manner moving forward. More specifically, the company has announced a brand new VR game for the PlayStation VR. It goes by the name of Déraciné, and is designed to be very different from what the game usually offers to gamers. More specifically, this is not action-oriented and horror-focused whatsoever, even though it is still a pretty mysterious game altogether.
The original description for Déraciné reads:
“As a spirit summoned by a young girl in a secluded boarding school, the player must prove its existence and build a unique bond with the students through clever interactions. As the mystery of the story unfolds, the spirit must use its ability to manipulate the forces of life and time to change the fate of the pupils.”
Although a lot of details remain hidden for the time being, it is evident this game will spark a lot of debates moving forward. Having major publishers focus their attention on virtual reality will undoubtedly yield some positive results for the industry as a whole. After the recently introduced Doom VR and Skyrim VR, Deracine has the potential to put VR gaming on the map once again.
