A few days ago, we referred to the original The Unspoken VR game, although we never put together the review for this game on the website. This will now be rectified, as The Unspoken is a very fun game despite the complete lack of single-player campaign altogether. The game is available for Oculus Rift for the price of $19.99.

The Unspoken is a Glorious Online VR Game

Although multiplayer VR games are still in the very early stages of development, The Unspoken sets a tone which very few games will be able to achieve in the future. We will gladly be proven wrong in this regard, though. The Unspoken is a great game for all Oculus Rift owners, though, as it offers an online immersive experience, unlike anything we have ever seen. Perhaps the biggest change this game introduced to the VR sector is how they created functional hands within the VR space to effectively grab and manipulate objects within the game world.

During your playthrough of The Unspoken, you will battle enemies of all kinds. You can use a wide variety of spells to both attack and defend yourself against any threats. In fact, this game has some of the most immersive and engaging wizard battles the world has ever seen, which says something. Considering how the game only has an online component and no single-player content, it is of the utmost importance everything works well in The Unspoken. The developers did a great job in this regard, that much is evident.

You can choose one of three different wizard classes while playing The Unspoken. Considering how this adds a good amount of replayability to this game, there will be a thriving online community for this game in the future. During our play sessions, we had no issues finding opponents whatsoever, although there is hardly any instant matchmaking to speak of. A delay of a few seconds is not something to be concerned about in this regard, though. Every fight spans three rounds and you will visit various maps around the Chicago area. An interesting choice of location, but one that works quite well in The Unspoken.

It is evident The Unspoken is the future of online VR gaming right now. It provides an experience unlike anything we have seen before, and the developers have done an amazing job in this regard. Hand gestures are captured realistically and work quite well. From an immersive perspective, this game has no equal right now, but that will undoubtedly change over the next few years. It is an absolute blast to play The Unspoken, and we thoroughly recommend it to all owners of the Oculus Rift.
