Ultimate Booster Experience is a thrilling VR game developed by the Russian based GexagonVR team. Launched in 2016, the game is available both for the Occulus Rift and the HTC Vive.
When you first start the game the controls are explained to you. Surprisingly this game only uses one controller as this is mostly an experience game rather than an action game. At first, you are presented with five different globes on the table. By selecting each globe you get to experience a different “attraction”.
The first globe is a rocket, by selecting it you get to sit on top of a rocket and control where it goes using your controller. Unlike other games that move in the direction you are looking, this game does it slightly different.
The next globe will place you in a sort of roller coaster that swings you up and down. The first time I tried it, I could barely stand and it really made me a bit nauseous. It left a smile on my face as I never expected VR to trick my brain into thinking I was actually on a roller coaster.
I will let you explore the other globes as they all provide their own unique experiences. One mode that I did find enjoyable was Eagle Mode. In it, you shadow an eagle as he flies around the mountain.
Overall the game is worth the $3.99 pricetag. It is available for both the Occulus and the HTC Vive. If you are a looking for a thrill while playing VR, I would definitely reccomend. Not to mention it makes a great game for anybody who comes over and wants to get familiarize themselves with VR.
