Racing games could work quite well in the world of virtual reality. Having  a first-person view while cruising around with other players or bots is a fun feeling. BlazeRush does things a bit differently, even though it is still a pretty enjoyable racing game altogether. It is easy to pick up the game and there is enough content to keep you entertained for quite some time. Plus, you can go online and beat other players if you feel confident enough.

BlazeRush Makes Racing in VR fun Without Complications

The main objective for a virtual reality game is to provide entertainment to the players. Challenging games can result in a more enjoyable experience, as long as things don’t become overly frustrating. BlazeRush does all of this quite well, as it is a matter of grabbing a controller and starting a race. Do not be mistaken in thinking this is an easy game, though, as owners of the Oculus Rift will have quite the challenge ahead.

One thing about the game everyone will like is the sheer amount of content it provides. Users can choose from dozens of tracks across three different planets. Additionally, there are over  a dozen cars and various unique weapons to play around with. All of this is available in both offline and online modus to make things even more engaging. Local multipliayer is an option too, as the game supports up to four players at the same time.

As one would expect from a VR racing experience, it is a lot more flexible compared to the look-in-front feeling in regular games. Players can lean down, look under the track, and glance over to their competitors. It is all well done in our opinion, even though the graphics aren’t the crispest we have seen to date. Then again, it doesn’t matter all that much in this game, as it is quite fun to play for less than US$10.

In the end, it is hard to fault BlazeRush in any way. The content is engaging with plenty of variation. Players collect medals to further unlock tracks and cars. It doesn’t necessarily need a VR element to be exciting, but it’s not an unnecessary luxury either. A very well-done game by Targem Games and one we can certainly recommend to Oculus Rift users. It is an absolute blast to play, without overly complicated actions to perform.
