Relax VR Review – A Cheap App That Does the job Quite Well

There are many different VR applications in the world today. Every single one of these apps tries to offer something unique. Relax VR, for example, is an app that lets users enjoy true and immersive relaxation. For the price of $1.99, this app is certainly worth checking out for people with a VR headset that supports iPhone or Android phones.

Relax VR Does What You’d Expect

For some people, it may sound strange to put on a VR headset and relax properly. For others, it makes a ton of sense, as it is the only viable way to shut oneself off from their surroundings. If there is one thing virtual reality does extremely well, it is making people forget they are somewhere else in the real world. Relax VR takes this concept one step further, by letting users travel to relaxing destinations and environments.

From the Relax VR app, users select their destination from multiple places all over the world. Perhaps the most interesting option to the one above the clouds, although it is also somewhat scary in VR when traveling there for the first time. Our personal favorite is Forest Creek, mainly because nature is quite soothing in its own right. All of the locations look incredibly well-polished and so real, you would forget you aren’t even there in physical form.

Especially for this low price tag, users get a lot of value for their money with Relax VR. Users can select the sounds being played, listen to a meditation instructor, and even tweak light settings accordingly. It is best to use a VR headset which can be strapped to your head rather than holding it up with both hands, though. Otherwise, the experience feels far less immersive, especially by the time your arms grow tired. Other than that, it is a great application and one that will please plenty of VR enthusiasts.

While one may argue there are other apps like this one, Relax VR is better than most similar applications we have tried in VR so far. Every application offers something unique and will heavily depend on personal preferences. For us, Relax VR checks all of the right boxes, even though one can certainly find some free alternatives that will provide a decent enough relaxation experience as well. For this price, there is no reason not to give it a try, as the app is good, convenient, and we use it quite regularly.
